Colombo Consumer Price (CCPI) continues increase at the end of the December. Comparing last year this year gives negative effect. Inflation rose to 4.9 percent

"This is the second lowest inflation rate recorded after sixteenth months from July 2010," it said.

Prices measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index rose 1.2 percent during December 2011, after rising 0.7 percent in November.
