Hybird Cars Demand rise

Sri Lanka Auto mobile sectors indicate upward trend HYBIRD and NANO cars. More than 3500 hybird cars and 1000 nano cars have been sold in Sri Lanka this year.

Hybird Cars Trend in 2011

Acording to the Motor vehicle registration statistics 3855 hybird cars have been registered form march this year. Register of Motor Vehicles Department Statistician Anura de Silva told that the process of registration of hybird cars began in March this year with 340 cars. In April this increased to 599, may 751, june 570, july 379, August 470, September 436 and October 310.

Demand Increase Secret 

The demand for hybird cars have increased since it's very attractive and in terms of technology, apperance and fuel efficiency it is far ahead. The demand for hybird cars is increasing rapidly because it consumes less petrol than conventional cars. These are the most environment friend cars in the market that are currently available.

Meanwhile DIMO busieness unit Manager for TATA passenger Vehicles Yasantha Wijesekara said almost 1000 Nano cars have been sold to the Sri Lankan customers since the introduction of this world's cheapest car during the first four months.

The company provides a 24 hour service for Nano car customenrs. TATA Nano was lunched in Sri Lanka in mid May with a price tag starting at Rs.925,000 including tax.
