Tele life Insurance from SLT


Large Telecommunication partner Srilanka Telecom and also historical Insurance provider Srilanka Insurance Corporation coordicate introduce New Insurance cover as called Tele life.

One of the major benefits of the service is the affordability of the premiums and convenience involved, in that premiums will be charged to the customer’s monthly telephone bill and can be paid along with the SLT telephone bill each month.



Who is eligible for the service
• Currently, the service is available only for SLT Megaline Residential customers.
• Customers aged between 18 years and 69 years.
• Customers who are legal owners of an active SLT Telephone connection.

Charges for the Tele life
• Monthly Premium per month is Rs.60/- and will be charged to the monthly telephone bill toal charges =60X12=720.00/=
• Cover will be initially for one year and shall be reviewed thereafter
• Policy holder will have to pay the premium every month to continue with the cover

How to Activation the Service
News• Contact SLT Call Center on 011 2 555555 to join the Tele-life Insurance Scheme
• Date of enrolment is the date of payment of the first premium by the member
• Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation will generate a certificate confirming the enrolment 

Benefits and Claims
• The customer shall be advised by Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation to directly liaise   with Sri Lanka Telecom PLC pertaining to any claims arising in respect of Group Life
  Assurance cover. SLT shall deal or liaise with the customer with regard to any claims made by the customer.
• All claims will be paid after consultation with SLT. 
• If the cause of death of the customer is due to an illness, only the claims arising after a lapse of sixty (60) days from the date of payment of the first premium shall 
  be considered for settlement.
• All claims must be submitted within 3 months of Death or Total and Permanent Disability due to an accident. 
• No claim arising due to a pre-existing illness (i.e. due to an illness which was contracted by the life assured, prior to enrolment) will not be paid.
• And according to the Terms and Conditions given in the Insurance ceritificate

Draw back form other Policy
1. Only Eligible for Srilanka Telecom Megaline Residential customers
2. Only paid Death and Permanent Disablities
3. No Maturuty Benefits and Bonus
